What Goes Around…/… Comes Around

Posted by iamjoe on March 28, 2007

Hey Girl
Is he everything you wanted in a man?
You know I gave you the world
You had me in the palm of your hand
So why your love went away
I just can’t seem to understand
Thought it was me and you, baby
Me and you until the end
But I guess I was wrong

Don’t wanna think about it(uh)
Don’t wanna talk about it(uh)
I’m just so sick about it
I can’t believe it’s ending this way
Just so confused about it(uh)
Feeling the blues about it(yeah)
I just can’t do without ya
Tell me is this fate

Is the way it’s really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Shoulda known better when you came around
That you were gonna make me cry
It’s breaking my heart to watch you run around
Cause I know that you’re living a lie
But that’s ok, baby, cause in time you will find

What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
Yeah

Now Girl
I remember everything that you claimed
You said that you were moving on now(on now)
Maybe I should do the same(maybe I should do the same)
The funny thing about that is
I was ready to give you my name
Thought it was me and you baby(baby)
And now, it’s all just a shame
That I guess I was wrong

Don’t wanna think about it(no)
Don’t wanna talk about it(hm)
I’m just so sick about it
I can’t believe it’s ending this way
Just so confused about it(uh)
Feeling the blues about it(yeah)
I just can’t do without ya
Can you tell me is this fate

Is the way it’s really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Shoulda known better when you came around
That you were gonna make me cry
Now it’s breaking my heart to watch you run around
Cause I know that you’re living a lie
But that’s ok, baby, cause in time you will find

What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
Yeah

What goes around comes around
Yeahhh
What goes around comes around
You should know that
What goes around comes around
Yeahhh
What goes around comes around
You should know that

Don’t wanna think about it(no)
Don’t wanna talk about it(hm)
I’m just so sick about it
I can’t believe it’s ending this way
Just so confused about it(uh)
Feeling the blues about it(yeah)
I just can’t do without ya
Tell me is this fate

Is the way it’s really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Shoulda known better when you came around(shoulda known better)
That you were gonna make me cry
It’s breaking my heart to watch you run around(now it’s breaking my heart)
Cause I know that you’re living a lie
But that’s ok, baby, cause in time you will find

What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
(what goes around comes around, baby)
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
(what goes around comes around, baby)
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around, don’t go away, back around
Yeah

Yup
Yup
Yup(let me paint this picture for ya, baby)
Yup

You spend your nights alone
And he never comes home
And everytime you call him, all you get is a busy tone
I heard you found out
That he’s doing to you
What you did to me
Ain’t that the way it goes
When you cheated, girl
My heart bleeded, girl
So it go without saying that should let the feeling hurt
Just a classic case scenario
Tell is always time
Girl, you got what you deserved
And now you want somebody
To cure the lonely nights
You wish you had somebody
That could come and make it right
But girl, I ain’t somebody
I’m out of sympathy
See..

What goes around comes back around
I thought I told ya
Hey(hey)
What goes around comes back around
I thought I told ya
Hey(hey)
What goes around comes back around
I thought I told ya
Hey(hey)
What goes around comes back around
I thought I told ya
Hey(hey)

Take it to em, J

Hey, hey, hey, hey(repeatedly till the end)

Haha
See
You shoulda listened to me, baby
Take it to em, J
Because
What goes around comes back around
Hahahaha
Ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh
Ooh
Ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh

Glasswing

Posted by iamjoe on March 27, 2007

Had fun at the Glasswing Lounge last Saturday. I wasn’t really up to going there anymore - I got lazy at around seven in the evening. Fortunately, my German neighbor invited me to a couple of drinks and after my second bottle. I thought that I’m just going to enjoy myself if I just go to the Fort and have fun with the crowd. Hehe.

Well, it was a good thing then that I went. I got there a few minutes past eleven and after sitting down doin’ nothing (there were only four or five of us that had arrived so far), I found out that there was a fashion show currently going on at the ground floor – Mossimo Bikini Summit fashion show! Wohoo. Of course, I came prepared – I brought my camera. I always bring my camera when I go out on gimiks. You never know who or what you’re going to see and be able to get pictures of.

That’s the inside of Glasswing bar. Pretty cozy colors, right? Yep, not bad at all. I’m told that the place is still on dry run and that there’s going to be a grand or formal opening soon. Whenever it is, I’ll be there. The owner is a friend. Hehe.

How bout that? Pretty nice view, ain’t it?

Kickoff Party @ PowerBowl

Posted by iamjoe on March 26, 2007

Way long overdue I think! I’ll just post samples of pictures here. I’m too lazy this morning to write anything. Hehe. Head on over to my Flickr or Multiply site to see more photos.

It was fun to bowl again. I haven’t done that since high school and we were using duck pins back then only. Nice diversion from the sometimes monotonous life that I have. Hehe. After the Kickoff party, my friends and I went to Pier One.

Why is the world upside down? Bilog ang mundo!!

We’re all of us HAPPY!

Bistro 110 and the upcoming Season

Posted by iamjoe on March 23, 2007

*sigh* Another night of madness. Oh, yes. Last night I went out with my friends again to enjoy a few drinks after work. I though I’d be able to go home by 10 o’clock. Unfortunately, we kinda enjoyed ourselves and went home just before midnight! Hahaha.

At first, we stayed at Gweilos but Fel’s brother was playing at the bistro bar on the other side of the street so we headed over there to give our moral support. Actually, they don’t need that much support anymore ‘coz their good. They play alternative and if ever you’re available next Thursday, and happen to want to relax and chill out at a good place with good music, then head on over to Bistro 110 at Palanca St. in Makati. Wow! Shameless plugging! But what the heck. I’ve heard them perform thrice now so I do know that they’re worth the time (and buzz!).

So much for trying to save up for the summer. I gotta avoid these unplanned activities, not that I wasn’t aware that we were going to be hanging out (my friend alread texted me in the morning, hehe). Takes too much time and money from me. I need to save for the summer – especially for the Holy Week!

Oh, well. I can’t really complain about last night. I enjoyed myself. Too bad for one of my friends though. Define bad trip… Dude, I say you kick the sh*t out of those two jerks! Hahaha

Note to self: If you don’t want to get drunk, order Hypnotic Blue Breeze – great taste, not so sure if it’s a traitor or not. My head was buzzing after a few beers and that blue liquid. Or maybe it’s because I didn’t have dinner last night and just got by w/ sisig and chicharon bulaklak?

Okay, this isn’t really a picture of that drink but hey, it’s still blue and it has a cherry with it as well. Hahaha!

Core 2 + LCD Monitor = Astig!!

Posted by iamjoe on March 20, 2007

I love the new look of my station. Basically, everything stayed the same except for a couple of new faces - Core 2 CPU, 17″ LCD monitor, new keyboard and a new optical mouse! Hahaha! Asitg! Can’t wait to work tomorrow w/ my new buddies! I didn’t mind the work interruption at all. It was all worth it. Besides, it’s already 6:30 in the evening and I’m done w/ my work so there really was nothing to it.

So here I am bragging about these new gadgets using company resources. Haha. Just kidding! I’m actually checking on our database to see which companies I’m going to be profiling tomorrow and for the rest of the week. I’d like to get the really good ones. Not the BIG ones – just those companies w/ enough sense not to try to blind investors with the thousands of paragraphs and millions of words on their Sustainability report. I want facts not a fairy tale!

I wonder where’d my old PC go?

Kickoff Party then Pier One

Posted by iamjoe on March 19, 2007

Typing at the speed of light, all of us were under pressure to finish our work before five in the afternoon. The reason? The Pre-poxy kickoff party was already underway – starting at 3 PM – and we were already late. Besides, we didn’t want to miss any of the action – free bowling and billiards w/ food and booze! How ’bout that, huh?

Well, it’s a good thing that Team ESG is one helluva group of people composed of the best minds the colleges and universities in the country could produce. Not to mention that it’s all about team work! Yeah, go ESG! Hehe.

Anyways, arriving late at the party – fashionably late, that is – didn’t faze us one bit. In fact, it just made us all the more excited to partei! Cameras flashing left and right, bowling balls rolling and rattling off, pins being knocked, the place just exuded fun and enjoyment. After a short merienda, it was high time that we joined in on the games. We had to wait for a few minutes though for a lane to be given to us. But that just gave us time to prepare. Hehe. Or not…

Fast forward… after 10 rounds at the lane, here are the official results of our game: King – 80; Glenda – 70; Tracy – 78; Rainier – 108; Francis – 88; me – 83; Ryan – 63; and last but not least, Jeff – 78. Wow! Rainier all beat all of us – by twenty points basing on Francis’ score! That’s 20 POINTS!! Go, Rainier! Go, Tseoong!! Hehe.

But like all things, the party had to end. So what was next? Spending an hour or so at Glorietta while I waited for my friends to arrive at Pier One, The Fort. They were late. As usual, what can I expect. Although judging from the fact that Basman  was already there (w/ Armand) when I arrived, I bet he was the only one who arrived on time once again. Hahaha.

Fast forward… A couple of beers later, some of my officemates arrived after their little midnight shopping from Glorietta and the fun continued. Did I mention I managed to influenced them to try the Slammer?  Really, you should try it out when you go to Pier One. Every bar/bistro/restaurant has a specialty cuisine or drink and I highly recommend that you try it out at least once. Then you can decide whether it’s worth a thumb or two.

Oh, and my head was starting to buzz by the time I got home at past three in the morning. The morning? Slight hangover cured easily with a couple of Advil and hot noodles. Hehe.

Back to Reality

Posted by iamjoe on March 19, 2007

After a another weekend of fun, it’s back to reality. It’s only Monday and yet we already have a deadline for this week. Not to mention that us, Report Builders, have a deadline to meet tomorrow. Wow! It’s really been crunch time for the whole month. But I’m enjoying work. Don’t take this wrong. I falling helplessly in love with my work. And the people in the office are great to work with. Did I mention that they’re also great drinking buddies? Yep, they are. That’s a fact, not my opinion. Hahaha!

Anyways, right now I’m downloading some files from our US server. Takes some time to download it all so in between files, I’m right here, writing! I haven’t been paying too much attention to this blog lately, courtesy of the mounting work we get everyday. But as soon as work lightens up, I’ll make sure to post even more interesting things here. It’s gonna be back to daily blogging again! Wohoo! Hurray for me!

Learn from these

Posted by iamjoe on March 14, 2007

“A person can be as sweet as honey or as heavy as steel.”

The saying is often used in a situation when a person becomes old and no one wants the person around any more.  What it indicates is that when the person was young they were as sweet as honey, “everybody wanted them around”.  Now that the person has become old they are considered a burden and no on wants them around anymore, hence they are as heavy as steel.

Quite pragmatic, ain’t it? Sad but true. I wonder how old people feel about this. To be wanted when in the prime of their life, yet to have backs turned on them when they get older. Tsk, tsk.

“Koketsu ni irazunba koji o ezu.”

Literally, if you do not enter the tiger’s cave, you will not catch its cub, meaning: Nothing ventured, nothing gained

For the entrepreneurs, especially, if you don’t take risks, you don’t get profits.  You see, that’s why the Japanese are so successful in their business. Hehe.

Prinsesa

Posted by iamjoe on March 13, 2007

Don’t you just love this song?

Prinsesa
6 Cycle Mind
(Original performance by Teeth)

Nakaupo s’ya sa isang madilim na sulok
Ewan ko ba kung bakit
sa libu-libong babaeng nandoon
Wala pang isang minuto
Nahulog na ang loob ko sa iyo

Gusto ko sanang marinig ang tinig mo
Umasa na rin na sana’y
mahawakan ko ang palad mo
Gusto ko sanang lumapit
kung ‘di lang sa lalaking kayakap mo

[chorus]
Dalhin mo ako sa iyong palasyo
Maglakad tayo sa hardin ng iyong kaharian
Wala man akong pagaari
Pangako kong habangbuhay kitang pagsisilbihan
O aking prinsesa

Di ako makatulog
Naisip ko ang ningning ng iyong mata
Nasa isip kita buong umaga buong magdamag
Sana’y parati kang tanaw
O ang sakit isipin ito’y isang panaginip
Panaginip lang

[repeat chorus]
